Funny thing about a film release is that, much like a new sports season when figuring how it will be received.
Director David Cronenberg is known for dark thrillers such as "The Fly" and "Dead Ringers", while the later films like
"Crash" & "Existenz" giving much more weight to the cult following of man nicknamed "King of Physical Horror".

A thriller from director David Cronenberg, "A History of Violence" stars Viggo Mortensen, as Tom Stall, a resident in a small town community who runs a neighborhood diner and lives a happy and quiet life with his wife (Maria Bello) and two children. But their lives are forever changed when Mortensen thwarts an attempted robbery and becomes a hero, to the attention of mobsters who believe he is someone else.
Opens this weekend.
