MOVIES - Who gets your vote to be the next 007 ?

With Pierce Brosnan out, who will be the next James Bond ?

Talk, being talk, people suspect some interesting choices:

Clive Owen has already squashed the rumor about himself being the next version of the British superspy.

Hugh Jackman did the same.

No word from Jude Law

Eric Bana has been mentioned

But Colin Ferrel was said to be attached to a 007 project with Quentin Tarantino

Who is your choice to carry on the franchise ?

I don't like any of them, really.

    I like Paul Bettany

Redchurch, I was a little dissappointed to find that Clive turned down the opportunity to bear the Bond name for his native England. I enjoyed his performances in Sin City & King Arthur.

Adrienne, it seems as if the essence of the character is pretty unique, I got pretty accustomed to Pierce Brosnan playing the role. The closest performance that I could reference Jude Law as quasi-Bond like (if thats a word) was Enemy at the Gates.

Another candidate that I just came across is Adrian Paul from the Highlander series. I am familiar with that franchise, but I haven't seen any of them.
Does Anyone know: How is Adrian Paul as an actor ???
It seems he has the action down pat.

The next Bond should be unknown actor and choreographer Jeffery Van Der Bilt......other than him 'll get back at ya on that.

    Rio,

You are right, Mr. Van Der Bilt is virtually unknown. You will have to educate us on his filmic or dramatic past. I am usually excited to see new talent on the screen, it definitely doesn't let the actor just "dial it in" by acting as themselves or take the experience away from the viewer by getting paid to perform 'talk-modeling'.

I'd quite like to see Sean Bean (yes I know he has been a villian in a previous movie). I think that he could pull it off if he could hide his Sheffield accent.

Sean Bean is a talent, for certain. Even thoough he is typically cast as a villian or questionable character, he brings a rougher demeanor to the role. Interesting Choice.
